FiiO K17 R2R Black

The FiiO K17 R2R is an all-in-one streaming DAC and headphone amplifier combining a proprietary segmented 24+5-bit R2R PRO resistor array with extensive digital and analog connectivity. Its design combines a natural wood finish with a 3.93-inch touchscreen and multiple rotary controls for convenient desktop hi-fi operation.

The R2R DAC uses a segmented architecture with 31 thermometrically coded resistors for the upper 5 bits, designed to reduce error accumulation and distortion. The K17 R2R supports USB decoding up to 768 kHz/32 bit, DSD256 and full MQA decoding, as well as Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and LDAC.

Streaming is supported through Roon Ready, Qplay and AirPlay, while local playback can access USB storage and NAS devices using NFS and SMB protocols. An integrated 31-band lossless PEQ with AUTO EQ provides detailed sound adjustment, with PEQ settings that can be exported, imported, shared and saved.

The fully symmetrical headphone amplifier uses a discrete Class AB current amplification circuit and delivers up to 4000 mW + 4000 mW in balanced mode. Four analog RCA inputs, single-ended and balanced line inputs, optical and coaxial inputs, plus headphone outputs provide extensive integration options for a desktop hi-fi system.

A low-noise 35 W linear power supply, separate digital and analog power supplies, physically separated circuit boards and three femtosecond audio crystal oscillators are used throughout the design. Control is available through the 3.93-inch touchscreen, five control knobs, the included aluminum alloy infrared remote control and the FIIO Control app.
