FiiO FT15

The FiiO FT15 is an open-back planar magnetic headphone featuring a 101 mm driver, an 800 nm ultra-thin diamond-coated diaphragm and FiiO's proprietary Uniform Magnetic Field Technology. Its planar architecture is designed to provide fast transient response, low distortion and extended high-frequency reproduction up to 40 kHz.

The 101 mm planar driver provides an effective diaphragm area of 6443.5 mm², while the patented magnetic circuit uses specially shaped high-strength magnets and optimized alignment to create a uniform magnetic field across the diaphragm. The FT15 has a sensitivity of 95 dB/mW and is designed for easy driving from portable players and dongle DACs.

The diaphragm uses FiiO's multi-layer coating technology, combining a silver-aluminum alloy voice coil coating with a full-surface diamond coating. The diaphragm is only 800 nm thick, while a precision manufacturing process derived from semiconductor production technology reinforces the connection between the conductive layer and diaphragm former.

The FT15 combines its planar magnetic construction with a 425 g lightweight design, a carbon fiber headband and midframes made from FAS Grade North American Black Walnut. The included 6N OCC single-crystal copper cable is cryogenically treated with liquid nitrogen and terminated with a balanced 4.4 mm connector.

Two sets of tuning ear pads are included, allowing the sound to be adjusted according to listening preferences. The package also includes a 4.4 mm to 6.35 mm adapter, a balanced 4.4 mm to XLR-4 adapter and a custom-made Yaoli storage bag. The FT15 is certified by the Japan Audio Society for Hi-Res Audio playback.
