In the early 1960s, Leo Fender aimed to create a new collection of acoustic instruments in Southern California, collaborating with renowned luthier Roger Rossmeisl. This partnership led to distinctive acoustic models that captured the innovative spirit of the era, featuring unique headstock shapes and comfortable neck profiles. Today, the Fender California Vintage models reflect these mid-century roots while incorporating modern performance and refined acoustic tone.

The Fender California Vintage Palomino boasts a mid-size auditorium body with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, producing a versatile and articulate sound. Its okoume neck features an ergonomic modern "V" profile and a 25.5" scale length for optimal sustain. The guitar also includes vintage-style tuning machines, a bound ovangkol fingerboard with pearloid inlays, and a bone nut and saddle for enhanced tone.

Equipped with a Fishman® Presys VT Plus preamp system for seamless amplification, the Palomino is designed for performers. A vintage-style hardshell case is included. The California Series instruments offer bold style, exceptional sound, and effortless playability for those seeking something different.
