Ernie Ball 2348 Light Earthwood Bell Bronze

Ernie Ball's Earthwood Bell Bronze strings for acoustic steel-string guitars were developed in collaboration with John Mayer to create a string that has a larger and broader frequency range. As the name Bell Bronze suggests, Ernie Ball's design team was inspired by metal alloys normally used to make cymbals, where the natural overtones and harmonics create a large part of the cymbal's sound. With that in mind, Ernie Ball has developed a unique alloy that they use to wind the Bell Bronze spun strings, resulting in more life and sound in both the treble and bass registers as well as the midrange, which ultimately also results in additional sustain.
