EMG 85-G

EMG-85-G – Active Humbucker Pickup for Electric Guitar, Gold

The EMG-85-G is an active humbucker with a gold finish, designed to deliver a full tone with tight low end, powerful highs, and high output without sounding muddy. Its construction features two Alnico magnets and two coils spaced slightly farther apart, producing a more natural tonal character. The pickup is particularly well suited to rhythm and blues and works excellently in the neck position paired with an EMG-81 at the bridge, a combination used by Zakk Wylde.

The pickup includes EMG's solderless installation system, simplifying installation without traditional soldering.
