Oceans Abyss builds on Electro Harmonix's acclaimed reverb technology and allows you to create your own signal chains with different types of reverb, as well as delay, chorus, tremolo, and bit crusher. Everything you need to create your own sound!

The heart of Oceans Abyss consists of a reverb with two separate reverb blocks that can be programmed individually, each containing a range of different reverbs such as Hall, Spring, and Shimmer. Simply choose which reverb or reverbs you want to use and then add them to the programmable signal chain, along with other effects if you wish.

With its Holy Grail, Electro Harmonix opened the door for compact pedals with high-quality reverb effects, and now they are taking the possibilities of their reverbs much further. With an editable effects chain that has eight effect blocks, the Oceans Abyss can be configured in almost endless ways: just reverb, two different reverbs fully panned, reverb with delay and an equalizer, or maybe just an equalizer?

There are 10 different reverbs to choose from: Room, Hall, Spring, Plate, Reverse, Dynamic, Auto-Infinite, Shimmer, Polyphonic, and Resonant. Other effects include Delay (Digital, Analog, and Tape emulations), Tremolo, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Graphic EQ, Saturation, Bit Crusher, and volume, but the built-in effects loop for external effects can also be added to the signal chain.

Stereo in and out makes it easy to connect all types of instruments in all types of situations. The OLED display is clear and makes it easy to edit both basic and more in-depth parameters. Almost all parameters can be controlled with expression/CV control, giving you full control over your effects and dynamics. The 128 programmable program locations can be controlled via the two footswitches or via MIDI.
