The PRS SE Chleo is the result of an in-depth collaboration between Herman Li and PRS. With his unique and exceptional technique, Herman has made a name for himself with his power metal band DragonForce, and the SE Chleo fulfills Herman Li's vision of how an instrument should feel, sound, and play. This signature model is an instrument designed with the modern metal guitarist in mind, and it stands out in the PRS range.

The body is made of mahogany with a maple top that has a sculpted contour, making the instrument slim and light. The neck is made of maple and, together with the neck joint, is designed to be easy to play and facilitate fast playing across the entire fretboard. The thin neck has a graphite-reinforced truss rod to increase the stability of the neck while providing additional sustain. The ebony fretboard has a 20" radius and unique Eclips Dragon inlays. The SE Chleo is also equipped with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo, allowing you to perform dive bombs and other acrobatic tremolo exercises while maintaining tuning.

As expected, the choice of microphones fell on Herman Li's own signature pickups, Fishman Fluence Omniforce, which are designed according to Herman's specifications and have a built-in active circuit that not only makes them hum-free, but also allows them to deliver several different sounds from the same pickup. With three different voice modes and flexible switches, the SE Chleo offers a total of 13 different tone options. From fat, hot comp sounds to soft, warm humbucker sounds to crystal-clear single coil sounds. The 5-way switch, together with the push/pull functions on the volume and tone controls, makes it easy to switch between the different sounds. The pickup configuration on this signature model will deliver the sound you want, whether you're using a classic tube amp, a modeling/capture device, or recording directly into your computer.
