Dynaudio Acoustics 9S

The compact 300W 9S is engineered to deliver size- defying power for high-level listening, but still retains all the precision and musicality you need for even the most demanding projects. Its studio-quality components and construction, along with a double front baffle and brand- new 24cm long-throw driver, make it the ideal subwoofer for mixing and mastering. And not only does it dig right down to 18Hz, its adjustable low-pass corner frequencies (from 50–150Hz) and low-power LFE output mean it's versatile enough to work in a variety of studio environments. It even has signal-sensing auto power on/off technology to save energy when sitting idle.

Powerful amplifier module

The amplifier module in 9S is identical to the previous (more expensive) BM 14S II model. This amplifier has features optimal for both Surround and Stereo setups. If more than one subwoofer is used, the subwoofers can be daisy-chained via the Slave function. The first subwoofer then controls the volume on all subwoofers.

The 9S has a defeatable Highpass filter on the SAT output, which allows you to run a stereo signal into the sub, cut the lower frequencies in the subwoofer, and pass the signal on to the main channels.

Handcrafted Driver

The 24 cm MSP long-throw woofer in 9S ensures a high level of performance, optimized for both Surround and Stereo setups. Low end extension as well as SPL are both significantly improved in comparison with BM 9S II 

Cabinet

The compact cabinet of the 9S incorporates an MDF edged front baffle design, where the driver chassis curve is integrated to the baffle, and the total thickness of the baffle is 37 mm.
