The 4098 offers several configuration options, this model's medium-length boom is well-suited to either desktop or ceiling use. In addition, this version of the microphone is designed for use with wireless systems and terminates in a microdot connector, allowing you to use a detachable adapter to connect to the wireless transmitter of your choice (adapter and transmitter available separately).

The microphone capsule's consistent off-axis response means that speaking into the side of the mic doesn't make the audio sound worse, it just drops the voice level.
Even passionate speakers are no problem for the 4098; the capsule can handle loud speech at peak volumes of up to 133 dB SPL before distortion occurs.
The factory-mounted foam windscreen helps to reduce breath and plosive noise.
