DOD DRAG Analog Delay

The DOD DRAG Analog Delay is a fully analogue delay pedal built around a bucket-brigade device (BBD) circuit, designed for everything from short slapback echoes to long, drifting repeats and intense self-oscillation. With up to 750 ms of delay time, it offers extensive control over the character and movement of the effect.

Six rotary controls provide adjustment of Time, Feedback, Filter, Level, Drift and Friction. The innovative Friction control manipulates the BBD clock rate, enabling dramatic changes to the delay behaviour. Three Friction categories offer distinctive performance effects, including SlideStop, Evade and Rubberneck-style pitch bending with octave-up and octave-down effects.

The Drift control adjusts modulation speed and depth, while four selectable waveforms—sine, reverse saw, square and random—provide a broad range of modulation characters. Three modulation intensity ranges, from light to heavy, make it possible to move between subtle movement and extreme, unstable textures.

The DRAG features true bypass and selectable delay-tail operation, allowing you to choose whether repeats continue after the effect is switched off. A 3.5 mm footswitch jack supports the optional DOD FS3X footswitch for expanded control. The top-mounted jacks and reversible StagePlate mounting plate make pedalboard integration convenient, and a Mechanic's Toolkit is included.
