Joe Satriani used FRED® in the bridge position for many years. In 2005, Joe asked us for a warmer and full-bodied version to replace FRED® on his new Ibanez® guitars. The new model called Mo 'Joe ™ has everything to do with tone and definition. Your name says it all. It has more power than FRED®, but does not sacrifice clarity or dynamics. In addition, all the harmonics that made FRED® so good are ready to jump to the touch of the pick. Having more output makes Mo'Joe ™ a perfect match for PAF Joe ™ in the arm position. The combination offers great versatility and control for bases and for soils.
Technical chat

In recent years, Joe has developed a new signature valved amplifier and started using heavier strings more often. Both developments emphasized the importance of Mo'Joe™ having a high degree of string division without sounding sterile or processed. We achieved this by slightly increasing the distance between the central frequencies to which the coils are tuned, without increasing the DC resistance.
