Demonfx ATDS

The DemonsFx ATDS is an overdrive and boost pedal based on the JHS AT Drive. It combines a wide-ranging overdrive with extensive tone-shaping options and an independent footswitchable boost, giving the pedal two usable gain stages.

The pedal features Volume, EQ, Drive and Air controls. The Drive control covers a broad range from crisp blues overdrive to high-gain distortion, while the EQ acts as a bright/dark tone control. The Air control works as a presence control for adjusting top-end brightness, articulation and clarity.

A three-way power-mode switch provides 25 W, 50 W and 100 W modes. The 25 W setting offers the greatest compression and saturation at the lowest volume, while the 50 W setting provides a balance between compression and openness. The 100 W setting delivers a more open crunch with less compression and greater volume.

The independent boost can be activated separately and functions as a slightly dirty, overdriven pre-boost. It can be used to push the pedal's drive section for additional saturation and definition, or independently to boost an amplifier or other drive pedals.
