The Cayin HA-6A MK2 is a premium single-ended Class A vacuum tube headphone amplifier featuring a redesigned dual-chassis architecture for improved isolation, lower noise, and enhanced sonic performance. Building upon the success of its predecessor, the MK2 introduces upgraded circuitry, a dedicated preamplifier output, and carefully selected vacuum tubes to deliver exceptional musicality and refinement.

The amplifier utilizes a fully tube-based design with JJ 12AU7/ECC82 driver tubes, matched Genalex Gold Lion KT88 output tubes, and dual JJ GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tubes. Operating in pure single-ended Class A, the HA-6A MK2 is engineered to preserve tonal richness, harmonic complexity, and natural musical flow.

Its dual-chassis construction separates the power supply from the amplification circuitry, reducing interference and creating a quieter background. A custom silver-plated copper umbilical cable connects the two units, ensuring efficient and stable power delivery.

The HA-6A MK2 offers selectable Triode and Ultralinear operating modes. Triode mode delivers a smooth, spacious presentation with rich harmonic texture, while Ultralinear mode enhances dynamics, extension, and overall drive capability.

Designed to accommodate a wide variety of headphones, the amplifier features impedance-matched outputs optimized for low, medium, and high-impedance loads. Outputs include 6.35 mm single-ended, 4.4 mm balanced, and 4-pin XLR balanced connections. The optimized 4.4 mm output also provides improved performance with sensitive in-ear monitors.

Beyond headphone listening, the dedicated PRE-OUT output enables integration with external power amplifiers or active speakers, allowing the HA-6A MK2 to function as the centerpiece of a high-end desktop or compact Hi-Fi system.

Premium internal components include custom-designed transformers, AudioCapX coupling capacitors, Japanese high-grade electrolytic capacitors, and a precision Japanese ALPS volume potentiometer. A built-in 60-second soft-start function protects the tubes and ensures stable operation before playback begins.
