Boss EX-4 Effects Expander

The BOSS EX-4 is a compact effects processor designed to expand the capabilities of your existing pedalboard without replacing your current setup. With 120 BOSS effects, flexible signal routing and real-time control options, it provides a wide range of sound-shaping possibilities for guitar and bass.

Up to four effects can run simultaneously, including multiple instances of the same effect. Dedicated utility blocks include foot volume, two noise suppressors, send/return and divider/mixer functions, while a global EQ provides independent overall sound shaping.

The EX-4 features a 2.4-inch color graphic display, dedicated FX buttons and intuitive controls for fast editing. The Gear Suite function provides ready-to-use effect configurations with professionally tuned parameters, which can also be edited and saved for later use.

Dual multi-function footswitches with color LEDs can be configured for effect on/off, memory selection, master bypass, tap tempo, parameter control and other functions. Manual and Memory modes allow either stompbox-style operation or preset-based control, with 128 user memories and 128 preset memories.

Flexible mono/stereo I/O and an effect loop allow external pedals to be placed anywhere within the EX-4's signal chain. TRS MIDI connections provide integration with other MIDI equipment, while seamless memory changes with delay and reverb carryover are possible with certain effect configurations.
