Blackstar - A shining star in the amp sky!
Ever since its inception in 2007, Blackstar has been hailed by guitarists worldwide as one of the absolute most innovative amplifier brands on the market.
In the tribute choir you can find, among others, Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Richie Sambora, Albert Hammond Jr (The Strokes), Gus G (Firewind, Ozzy Osbourne), Neal Schon (Journey) and many other guitarists of the same dignity as these gentlemen. Like many other great British ideas, the idea of Blackstar also arose in the pub. Four bandmates who also happened to be amplifier specialists and who together had over 50 years of experience in the subject and who at the time were working on a classic giant in the instrument amplifier world thought that it must be possible to develop a guitar amplifier more. After two and a half years of research, tests and conversations with guitarists from all over the world, the first amplifier was released in March 2007 and the rest is history!

The desire to constantly develop and improve is the never-ending driving force of the team in Northampton, England. Among Blackstar's innovations and patented solutions is  the Infinite Shape Feature (ISF)  where you can adjust different unique characters to bring out YOUR sound.
Dynamic Power Reduction (DPR)  is another of Blackstar's great innovations. As everyone knows, a tube amplifier sounds absolutely best when the tubes have to work hard, this is because they then create a natural distortion and compression. This usually also means a strong volume. With the DPR function, you can also get these desirable characteristics even at low volume.
Another Blackstar innovation is  True Valve Power (TVP)  where you have six different voices combined with modulations of six different tube types: EL84, 6V6, EL34, KT66, 6L6, KT88. In other words, you can achieve completely unique combinations through your selections of an amplifier's unique characteristics by matching it with another amplifier's power tubes.
