The Austrian Audio OC616 is a professional multi-pattern large-diaphragm condenser microphone, handcrafted in Vienna for demanding studio and live applications. It combines the character of a classic large-diaphragm capsule design with modern precision and consistency.

At its core is the CKR12 capsule, developed and handcrafted in Vienna by former AKG engineers. Based on the design philosophy of the legendary CK12, it delivers open highs, detailed mids, natural low-end extension, and the depth and resolution associated with classic Viennese large-diaphragm microphones.

The OC616 features Austrian Audio's Open Acoustic Technology, designed to minimize internal reflections and acoustic interference before they reach the capsule. This results in an open, transparent, and natural sound with detailed and precise reproduction.

With five selectable polar patterns, three low-cut filters, and three pad settings, the OC616 is suitable for vocals, voice-over, acoustic instruments, guitar and bass amplifiers, drum overheads, brass sections, room recording, Mid/Side stereo techniques, and demanding live productions.

With a maximum SPL of 157 dB SPL and a dynamic range of 134 dB, the OC616 can capture both subtle musical details and high sound pressure levels with a high degree of accuracy.
