Moon Knot: The duration of an orbit of the lunar node through the ecliptic is about 18.6 years. The lunar nodes are the intersections of the moon's orbit with the ecliptic. If the moon travels through the ecliptic from south to north, it passes through the ascending lunar node, which is also called dragon head. If it travels through the ecliptic from north to south, it passes through the descending lunar node, also called the dragon's tail.
