Although they seem to be raw, the Byzance Extra Dry basins are extremely refined. Because they are dry, fast, trashy and deep, it is exactly these fascinating sounds within Byzance that attract many drummers.

The Crash, Splash and China cymbals literally explode and unleash a dark texture from the inside out, while the hi-hats and rides are crisply defined. The cymbals are made in Turkey from B20 bronze, hammered into shape by hand and finished raw. The underside of the hi-hats, crashes, splashes and chinas is turned, but the rides are not. Only with the exception of the Transition Ride. This is turned and polished on the underside to get a brilliant finish.
