Tape devices or the parts in these devices magnetize over time due to construction. Magnetized sound heads and tape-carrying parts are the main causes of decreased playback quality. The professional degaussing device removes magnetism from sound heads and all tape-carrying parts in cassette recorders and coil tape machines. The analogis Demag should be removed after approx. 20 hours of playtime. Before using the demagnetizer, be sure to remove all media based on magnetic storage (video/audio tapes, hard drives, floppy disks and credit cards) within a radius of 3 metres. The use of the analogis Demag can lead to the deletion of the data on it. Directions for use: plug the analogis Demag power plug into the 230V light mains socket provided. Approach the tape-carrying parts of the device to be processed with the red tip of the analogis Demag. Perform small, slightly circular movements close to the corresponding parts for a few seconds. Direct contact between the demagnetizer tip and the parts to be machined must be avoided. Once all intended parts have been treated in this way, remove the analogis Demag slowly by approx. one metre from the treated device. Now remove the power plug from the socket. The process is complete. Please note: the analogis Demag is not intended for continuous operation and is suitable. The maximum operating time is 5 minutes, after which the analogis Demag must be disconnected from the light network. Allow to cool. Caution: Follow the instructions for use carefully. Keep out of reach of children. Not suitable for pacemaker wearers.
