Audac APM04

Digital microphone for use in paging and evacuation systems to control up to 4 zones. The APM04 paging console is equipped with a condenser microphone with cardioid polar characteristic. By means of a built-in compressor-limiter, the output level of the microphone signal is constantly maintained. Furthermore, there’s an indication on the front panel which shows the value of the output level, giving the speaker confirmation of a clearly reproduced message. There also is an indication which shows whether the data line of the appliance is busy. By means of the free software, the APM04 priority setting can be configured, in case more than 1 console is used. Because all consoles in the same system are using the same digital bus connection, the priority status will see to it that the console with the highest priority is always heard, in case more than 1 console is operated at the same time. Furthermore, there are 7 function keys on the control panel of which, in standard mode programming, one button is used to "Push to talk", one "All" to activate all zones and one "Clear" to neutralize all settings. The other 4 buttons are used for zone selection. By means of the necessary software, all these factors and indicators can be programmed to the needs of the user. This way, specific application configurations can be created (e.g. contact control, start/ stop functions, activation of digital message readers, etc) The standard used data bus is RS485, but by means of an optional interface, other data bus standards can also be used. The appliance is connected by a single connector of the RJ45 type. The APM04 paging console must always be combined with the ARU (AVD) intelligent relay units. These units communicate with the APM04 over the data bus. Based on the number of zones, the appropriate relay unit must be used.
