The 4098 offers several configuration options, this model's long gooseneck length is well suited to desk or tabletop use. The included base fits most electrical back boxes and makes installation quick and easy. In addition, this configuration of the mic features unterminated pigtails allow you to customize the wiring (requires 48V phantom power for operation).

The microphone capsule's consistent off-axis response means that speaking into the side of the mic doesn’t make the audio sound worse, it just drops the voice level.
